Noisetrade has expanded their free download services to include audiobooks. They posted their first offering last night. It’s a “confessional memoir” titled My Beautiful Idol by Pete Gall.
I had not heard of Pete Gall prior to Noisetrade posting his book. But endorsements by Phillip Yancey and Shane Claiborne intrigued me enough to download it this morning. I’m looking forward to adding it to my iPod playlist.
You can download the book for free or “pay what you want” at:

Excellent tip sir!
I’d been wanting to read this book since its release.
Noisetrade does it again!
I’m kind of looking forward to listening to it because I’ve never listened to an audio book before. It always seemed kind of me weird to me to listen to an author read his own book.
But I haven’t sat down to read a book in far too long. Seem to have trouble finding the time – or rather, making it a priority. So the thought of listening to a book while I’m at the gym is starting to have merit.
Can’t see it beating Librivox yet.
Of course with Librivox it’s unlikely you hear the author read his book.
