The 12 Tunes of Christmas – Day 4

In the spirit of John Lennon’s holiday proclamation that “war is over (if you want it)” comes this little diddy from Jack Johnson. Viewing this song through gospel colored glasses brings some additional Christmas warmth to the lyrics as well.

This song is part of the Brusfire Records’ Christmas compilation This Warm December. It features songs by Brushfire artists such as Jack Johnson, G Love, and Matt Costa. It also introduces the sweet-as-bubblegum stylings of Zee Avi – the latest addition to the Brushfire lineup.
