As we reach the halfway point in our countdown I thought it might be nice to take time to reflect on the peculiar tension that exists within the gospel message. Joy to the world, the Lord has come! (Yet is to come!) I think this song captures that tension gorgeously.
“Amen, Amen” appears on Advent Songs, a 2007 release by Sojourn. Sojourn is a music ministry of Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, KY. You can download the album for free on NoiseTrade.

Hi Shane, this is Bobby Gilles of Sojourn Church and sojournmusic.com. Thanks for the write-up! Actually though, you may be confusing us with another ministry named “Sojourn.”
We did record “Amen, Amen” on Advent Songs, which people can download on Noisetrade. However, we’re a young church in Louisville, KY. We’re an SBC church and a part of the Acts 29 Network (like Mark Driscoll’s Mars Hill Church in Seattle).

Man, I’m a mess! First I didn’t know Jack Johnson’s “Someday at Christmas” was actually a Stevie Wonder cover, and now this!
Sorry about the confusion.
The funny thing is that the first time I mentioned “Advent Songs” on here I got the background information right!
I have no idea where I came up with the Ecclesia stuff this time around.
But thanks for stopping by anyway! I really enjoy the CD. Thanks for supporting NoiseTrade!
