  1. Many. There are many different combinations of words that I could use to respond to this bulletin. I can only choose one right now: Alarming.

I chose alarming, because it is criminal that you, with this posted bulletin, have probably expressed more concern for ALL these lives lost, than some members at the highest levels of our government.

It’s hard to believe, that they even think about this stuff.

    Sad.

Thanks for the update though, I really was interested.

  2. Thanks man, I really appreciate that.

There are a number of reasons that I do these updates, but first and foremost it is to pay tribute to those who have given their lives fighting this war. There are very few places – on the web or otherwise – where you can go to see the ever-growing list of American casualties resulting from the Iraq war. Without names they’re just numbers on the evening news.

In some ways it’s my attempt to return some human dignity to these soldiers. When I do these updates I read through these names and it breaks my heart. So many names. So young. So many of them from places I’ve been. I pray for their families and friends, their towns.

It’s laborious to read through these lists. But I feel that the soldiers deserve at least those few minutes of our time. Especially when we consider all they’ve given.

  3. I knew one of the young men on this list. Hospitalman Daniel S. Noble, 21, of Whittier, California. He really was one of the sweetest and kindest funniest and idealistic young men I have ever met. From what I have heard about other fallen his quality and Character are not unusual among them. We will miss them through out out our society for decades to come. there is a tribute my space page for him http://www.myspace.com/honor_hndanielnoble
just a little about one of these people We are all going to have to become a lot better people to make up for these losses to evean a small degree
