Best movie ever!

I know we’re way behind the curve on this one but last night Cheryl and I went to see Juno at the dollar theater.

I thought it was brilliant! Clever, well written, funny and able to tackle tough issues with a sense of levity and heightened morality. Definitely on my “to own” list.Vodpod videos no longer available.

  1. i’ll be purchasing it the day it comes out. i got a little annoyed by everyone going crazy over it, but i think seeing it again will remind me why everyone has gone crazy over it. it really is an absolutely exceptional film. the rainn wilson appearance is a great icing on the cake 🙂

  2. Yes!! I was hoping you guys would get to check it out soon. Dollar Theater is a great place (and price) to do just that! Did your little one start acting up at all during the show?!? 8^)

My parents had him for the weekend. We’d never take him to see a movie like Juno. Cheryl and I were dumbfounded that there were parents there with their kids (age 7ish).

Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material, sexual content and language.

What about that screams “Take the kids!”??

  4. On a whim Cheryl and I watched Saved! again last night. It had been a while since we last saw it, and we were curious how it compared to Juno being that it also dealt with the issue of teen pregnancy.

I’ve kinda liked Saved! historically. But having watched it again after Juno, the film just seemed to pale in comparison in terms of integrity.

  5. i assumed Juno was directed by the same guy that directed Knocked Up because it’s about an unexpected pregnancy, and Michael Cera stars as Juno’s boyfriend (he was one of the goofy kids from Superbad, a close relative of Knocked Up), but it turns out this is not the case
