Roc Reviews: Ingrid Michaelson

I really don’t know how to review the majority of this show as I’m basically unfamiliar with most of Ingrid Michaelson’s music.

That being said. She was downright fantastic.

Her performance was a lighthearted romp through themes of love, loves lost and an encore cool enough to feature a solo rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” that was so pure and innocent, and somber, that it made me sneeze gladness and joy.

Even if the Rochester weather made me bundle up in a knit hat and a pair of mittens. And a rain coat. Ingrid was fantastic despite, and because of, the elements. Eventually the clouds gave way and the blue skies embraced her awesomeness.

And speaking of awesomeness … this tune is for baby.
