Things that just should not be!

Another new semi-regular installment of SB.com is a theme where the absurdity of reality speaks for itself. A mish-mash of whatever the cat coughs up which sometimes makes you wonder, “Who the heck thought this was a good idea?” and at other times causes you to scream, “Lord save us!”

For example:

Want to hear it? (Who are you to resist?) Then go here. (Only available for a few more days.)

It’s as bad as you can imagine.

I tried to stop you.

  1. rock of love is incredibly entertaining b/c it’s so ridiculously stupid. the snl skit mocking it was so hilarious. however, flavor of love is a shame and makes me cry since i worshipped public enemy as a kid and wouldn’t be the crazy left wing loon i am without them (even though flav was always just the “comedic relief” and served the purpose of “hype man”, with chuck as the teacher). i mean, PE had serious credibility…whereas poison was, well…poison.

  2. Word up on PE. In full effect boyeee.

I can never remember if we’ve talked about this publicly, but “Fear of a Black Planet” was life changing for me, eye opening …

    (All that … all that … )

And I know you understood the paran-thesis boyeeee.

    “Subordinate terror
    Kickin’ off an era
    Cold deliverin’ pain
My 98 was 87 on a record yo
    So now I go Bronco”

BTW – You’re my new recruit. God spawned you to come hang in the Roc. Our new pad has a room for you, and a Jamaican place down the street. History’s roots here are deep in black suffrage (Frederick what?), women’s rights (Susan B. what?) – the Underground Railroad was housed in this joint boyeee. And it all plays out on a daily basis within my sphere sucka. All that, all that …

You’re single. Unattached. Why not come – at least – visit the most progressive (and oppressive) city on God’s green Earth?

Besides bro. We have hockey and black suffrage. Uhm. Timmay – where you at?

  3. when gas prices go down (i think it’s possible…then again, i also have seen pigs fly – i’m from maine after all) i’m there!

  4. Metallica – The Thing That Should Not Be

    “Messenger of fear in sight
    Dark deception kills the light

    Hybrid children watch the sea
    Pray for father, roaming free

    Fearless wretch
    Insanity
    He watches
    Lurking beneath the sea
    Great old one
    Forbidden site
    He searches
Hunter of the shadows is rising
    Immortal
    In madness you dwell

    Crawling chaos, underground
    Cult has summoned, twisted sound

    Out from ruins once possessed
    Fallen city, living death

    Fearless wretch
    Insanity
    He watches
    Lurking beneath the sea
    Timeless sleep
    Has been upset
    He awakens
Hunter of the shadows is rising
    Immortal
    In madness you dwell

    Not dead which eternal lie
    Stranger eons death may die

    Drain you of your sanity
Face the thing that should not be

    Fearless wretch
    Insanity
    He watches
    Lurking beneath the sea
    Great old one
    Forbidden site
    He searches
Hunter of the shadows is rising
    Immortal
    In madness you dwell.”

    Wildly appropriate.

    Madness indeed

  5. I think you’re a little mixed up. Bret Michaels was once the lead singer of Poison – then a reality TV personality – and has now released another solo album.

Are you thinking of some kind of hybrid between Brett “the Hitman” Hart and Shawn Michaels? πŸ˜†

  6. Poison is my absolute favorite band of all-time. I’ve seen them in concert three times (will be four in August), and I have most of what they have produced. This, however, is a piece of crap. I can’t stand it. It is not good by any stretch of the imagination. Bret without CC, Bobby, and Rikki is like pizza without cheese. Just disgusting.

  7. Of course, Bret with CC, Bobby and Rikki is like pizza with cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. πŸ˜‰

I kid ya man. Thanks for stopping by and contributing. Feel free to come by again. Even if your favorite band of all time is … Poison? Really?

  8. Awesome. I saw Vince last summer playing at an outdoor bar. He still has it.

And I was fortunate to experience the Van Halen reunion earlier this year. Spectacular show.
