Coldplay – Viva La Vida (Hear the whole darn thing!)

Coldplay’s new album Viva La Vida doesn’t come out in the U.S. until next week, but you can hear the whole darn thing right now at IHeartMusic.com. (Always looking out for my peeps!)

Take it for a spin and let us all know what you think.

It’s easily the single greatest composition of music you’ll hear until the next Coldplay release. 😆

  1. ok, so i really liked their first 2 albums. i started getting annoyed w/ them w/ the 3rd b/c of the whole gwyneth thing. but then i realized i’m not gayfor liking them after i saw chris do a hilarious spot on extras. here’s why i like them: they’re a great band that is really popular – this album could be the top seller of 2008 – and that’s a rarity in our watered down awful pop music market of today. you’ve basically got them and u2, with other great bands like radiohead and wilco not breaking through to the mainstream b/c they’re “too smart”. so, go coldplay. plus, i like that chris is ugly (like thom yorke and jeff tweedy). pretty boys (like the idiot from maroon 5) shouldn’t be allowed to be rock stars. i mean c’mon! you don’t need to be a rock star if you’re a pretty boy! rock stars should be ugly IMO 🙂

  2. I was feeling the same a little bit. Maybe not as much as you did, but I noticed. Then I wondered if having to listen to it at a lower bit rate and volume at work was part of the problem.

Coldplay always feels lackluster at modest volumes. Crank the headphones and it’s a completely different experience. So we’ll see…

  3. yeah, i was just thinking the same thing. problem is, i don’t think anything will ever live up to “a rush of blood” for me. that album is killer. but, that’s not to say these songs are not good, just slower.
