China is still communist, and Guns N’ Roses still sucks

The last time we heard new music from Guns N’ Roses Ghost was the #1 movie in America, Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” topped the Billboard charts, Germany was reunited, Nelson Mandela was freed from prison and President Bush was at war with Iraq.

So what has Axl Rose been up to these past 17 years? Apparently assembling the greatest rock ‘n roll record ever made. Nothing else could possibly justify the reported $13 million he has spent recording Chinese Democracy, and the nearly two decades he’s been keeping loyal fans waiting.

To quote a review by SPIN magazine, “Chinese Democracy is not the greatest rock album ever made.” If the first single is any indication … it could quite possibly be one of the worst in my opinion. But don’t take my word for it, you can hear the abomination for yourself!

  1. no slash, no duff, no izzy or dizzy or gilby or the smackhead drummer or the dude who replaced him…not guns-n-roses, maaaaaaan! so sad.

  2. Frankly, I’ll take it over “Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons!” any day of the week.

Cheryl and I have declared war against that song in our house these last few days because neither of us can get it out of our heads now that Josiah is hooked on Transformers.

  3. dude i just noticed (yeah i’m slow on the uptake) that you wrote g-n-r still sucks. still?!? duuuuuuuude. appetite for destruction, bro. use your illusion I annnnnd II, man. so sweet. c’mooooooooon. g-n-r ruuuuuuuuuuled.
