NFL Recap: Week 11

The Miami Dolphins have won four straight. Granted, they had to come from behind to beat the lowly Raiders in the fourth quarter. But a win’s a win!

I actually got to watch yesterday’s game with my sister and some friends, don’t get to do that too much. They just opened up a new place around the corner from my house that has all the games and 25 cent wings. Word. I think I’ll have to make my way over there again for next week’s game.

Next up: New England Patriots

  1. wow, chicago got blazed. always great to get dusted by your arch enemies. “meh” –>

all sports radio is talking about is football, and meanwhile the bruins are killing it and it’s all “blah blah blah brady’s knee yadda yadda yadda we hate jets fans etc etc etc belichick is God”. c’mon, give timmy some black & gold! or green.

  2. I was really surprised to see how bad the Bears lost to the Packers. What an embarrassment.

You should move here and become a Sabres fan. No shortage of Sabres talk on our local stations. Now that they’re done talking about the Bills going 14-2. 😆

  3. yes, they do love hockey more in buffalo – which is sad, i mean, it’s boston! the original 6! the greatest hockey player ever wore the black & gold! i suppose when the pats were awful there was more room for hockey talk. i think buffalo & minnesota are the only hockey lovin’ places left. even in detroit, the self-proclaimed hockey town, they weren’t selling out last post-season. and c’mon, they have the lions, they should be loving the wings! 🙂

college hockey is big here, but they don’t talk about it on the radio. and RI actually has a huge high school hockey culture…but the greatest game gets no airtime. “oh canada, let timmy get citizenship”…at least from november – april. it’s good to be here for baseball season 😉

  4. well, hockey fans seem to be more emotionally invested than the average fan….but in a sport that no one gives a crap about…except for the aforementioned emotionally invested folks.

    it’s gotta be draining.

  5. that’s why we’re so invested 🙂 it’s not something you can really be casual about, b/c you have to seek it out (i don’t even have VS., which airs all games!). it’s like being a soccer fan i guess…which is sad b/c this is america and hockey is supposed to be one of the 4 major sports. i don’t understand how people find golf entertaining, but many do…probably a lot more than hockey. for me it’s just something i grew up loving, with umaine hockey being a big deal and canada being so close. but, as far as mainstream sports go, it’s becoming more fringe, and it’s partly b/c the nhl is lacking for stars like they used to have and also b/c the bigwigs SUCK at marketing.

  6. @Ryan: As much as I hate to say it, it sure does look like the Eagles’ season is going to be a bust. I know they’re still technically in it for a Wild Card, but with the Bucs at 7-3, it looks like they’re going to have to leapfrog both the Cowboys and the Skins to get there. Possible? Maybe. But that 0-3 divisional record is pretty much a death sentence.

Anyone watch last night’s game? I’m starting to feel sorry for Bills fans. 😆

Speaking of the Bills. Can anyone point out the absurdity in this Craigslist posting?
