Time names Obama ‘Person of the Year’

NEW YORK (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama has won another contest: He’s been named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2008.

The magazine has named Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Gov. Sarah Palin and Chinese director Zhang Yimou as runners-up.

  1. Almost as shocking as winning the Presidential election. At least for this one he didn’t need to prove his blackness, being not-Muslim, or that he wears a flag pin 24/7.

  2. It’s funny. When I saw on the news this morning that TiME was scheduled to make their announcement today my initial thought was “It’s obviously Obama.”

Seriously. Who else could it be?
